NON PROFIT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM • Great fit for: Active or retired teachers, coaches, community engagers, seniors, homemakers • Geographic Restriction- MUST reside with 30 miles of Texas community served • Job Type: This fun and resume building position is a 1099 contractor role focused on community outreach and host family recruitment. Compensation is based on the number of successful host family placements made. Be the 'go to' person for Student Exchange Are you an educator, coach, or someone actively involved in your community, looking for a meaningful way to earn a side income while working from home? You’ll be a part of a global mission that connects cultures and enriches lives, and International Student Exchange (ISE) is offering an exciting opportunity to do just that. Imagine a Swedish or German student saying \"howdy\" or “ma’am” with a charming Texas twang! As an area representative, you’ll be the facilitator of these cultural happenings, as so much more. Our students: ISE exchange students come from over 60 countries, are aged 14-18, and are thoroughly prepared to integrate into their volunteer host families while attending the nearest public high school for an academic school year. They bring their own spending money and have full medical insurance, and are ready to become a participating member of their American host family. Our hosts are volunteer and provide bed, food and loving support throughout the academic year homestay. What Does the Role Involve? • Recruiting Volunteer Families: Your primary role is to find warm and caring families willing to host an exchange student for a semester or a year. You'll get to connect with people in your community and share the joy of cultural exchange. • Collaborating with Schools: You’ll work closely with local schools to ensure seamless enrollment and integration of students into the educational system. • Ongoing Support: Serving as a liaison in your community, you'll provide continuous support to students and host families, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for everyone involved. Flexible and Rewarding This freelance role offers you the flexibility to set your own work schedule and goals. You'll receive a pre-arrival fee for each student placement and ongoing payments for supervisory roles. While the position involves working from home, it also includes engaging with the community in-person and leveraging social media to find host families.
