Description Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with visual impairments? This role involves transforming the educational journey for students with visual disabilities, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals... Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs, utilizing assistive technologies, Braille, and other specialized instructional methods. • Collaborate with students, families, therapists, and fellow educators to create a supportive and student-centered learning environment. • Maintain accurate records of student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed to meet evolving needs. • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education and remote learning. Qualifications • A valid teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education - Visual Impairment. • A bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field. • Experience teaching students with visual disabilities, with a strong understanding of virtual and remote learning environments. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and colleagues. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure personalized support for each student. • A genuine passion for empowering students with special needs to reach their full potential.
