The Post-Closing Disclosure Auditor is responsible for reviewing and auditing mortgage loan files after closing to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company guidelines. This role plays a critical part in verifying the accuracy of disclosures and documentation to minimize risks and maintain regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Review post-closing loan files to ensure all required disclosures are accurate, complete, and compliant with applicable laws and company policies. Audit closing documents for accuracy, ensuring consistency with initial and revised loan estimates and final closing disclosures. Verify that fees and charges comply with TRID, RESPA, and other relevant regulatory guidelines. Identify and document any discrepancies, omissions, or compliance violations, and communicate findings to the appropriate departments. Collaborate with post-closing, compliance, and quality control teams to resolve audit findings and implement corrective actions. Maintain detailed records of audits performed and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Stay updated on changes in industry regulations and best practices to maintain compliance and improve auditing procedures. Provide training and guidance to junior auditors or team members as needed. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of [2] years of experience in post-closing, mortgage auditing, or related fields. Strong knowledge of TRID, RESPA, TILA, and other regulatory compliance requirements. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with mortgage loan origination and auditing software. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
