About the position The Atacama Architect role at Cognizant involves designing and implementing robust data management solutions to enhance data integrity and operational efficiency. The position requires a strong background in data quality, data management, and experience with Ataccama, Java, and Python. The architect will oversee the development of data quality frameworks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with data governance policies. Responsibilities • Design and implement data management solutions to enhance data integrity. , • Oversee the development and maintenance of data quality frameworks using Ataccama. , • Provide technical expertise in Java and Python for scalable data processing applications. , • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. , • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and standards. , • Develop and implement data quality metrics and monitoring systems. , • Conduct regular data quality assessments and identify areas for improvement. , • Implement best practices for data management and data quality assurance. , • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on data quality and management practices. , • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with business objectives. , • Participate in the evaluation and selection of data management tools and technologies. , • Document data management processes and procedures for future reference. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or equivalent. , • 11+ years of experience in data management and data quality. , • Strong background in Ataccama, Java, and Python. , • Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, and Snowflake. , • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification is required. , • Proven track record of implementing data quality frameworks. , • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. , • Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Nice-to-haves • Experience in developing and implementing data governance policies. , • Hands-on experience with data profiling and data observability. , • Experience in creating and managing visualization dashboards for data quality.
