Job Summary We are hiring a research assistant to manage the work involved in collecting data from research participants exposed to African-descended and Native ways of knowing, and storytelling. The person filling this role will work collaboratively with the co-directors of the Office of Holistic Excellence and with faculty and staff, particularly with instructors teaching in the University Honors Program. The research assistant will coordinate with Honors instructors, recruit and track study participants, ensure that participant incentives are distributed and accounted for, and organize and maintain secure access to data generated by the study. Both quantitative and qualitative data will be collected. The research assistant may assist in coding qualitative data for themes and in communicating research findings in reports, publications, and presentations. Meetings with faculty and honors students will occur on the University of Michigan- Dearborn campus or virtually through zoom. Modes of Work Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes. Hybrid. The employee will be expected to be on campus regularly, as needed, to collect data from students. However, a significant portion of the work may be completed remotely.
