We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Professional Liability Claims Adjuster to join our team. This role is ideal for a claims professional with expertise in nursing home or senior living liability and previous experience working with a TPA, brokerage, or agency in this sector. What You'll Do: Claims Management: • Handle and adjust professional liability claims related to nursing homes and senior living facilities, ensuring a thorough, fair, and efficient resolution process. • Conduct in-depth investigations and manage claims from initial reporting through resolution, including coverage analysis, liability assessment, and damages evaluation. • Participate in mediation and settlement negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes. Communication & Collaboration: • Work directly with policyholders, third-party investigators, defense firms, and internal claims team members to streamline the claims process. • Provide proactive and strategic communication to mitigate claim damages and enhance risk management efforts. • Proactively support policyholders with open claims, providing clear and empathetic assistance. Industry Expertise & Compliance: • Ensure adherence to industry regulations and best practices, with a strong understanding of nursing home and senior living liability claims. • Maintain compliance with Medicare Section 111 Reporting and other regulatory requirements. What We're Looking For: • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in Nursing Home/Senior Living liability claims adjusting • Strong knowledge of professional liability insurance, Medicare reporting, and regulatory compliance. • Understanding of Medicare Section 111 Reporting • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
